Should Cell Phones Be Allowed At School?

PROMPT: Should cell phones be allowed at school?

Well I Believe that cell phones should be allowed at school for safety purposes of course but their are also some other very strong arguments to go against my beliefs and from the following things that I have read, I have decided to be undecided which means, I get to give arguments for both sides.

Firstly,  from my perspective If I had kids that walked home I would really prefer they had some type of contact for safety purposes.

The only downside with that is that what if their phone got lost or stolen well walking home.

(Mum I am not trying to discourage you in any way I would prefer to keep my phone haha.)

Secondly, there are many reasons teachers don’t want kids to have phones especially during class time, like phones going off during learning time,distractions and more, although having a phone in class can also come in handy when you are doing work like you could use your own devices for educational purposes, also you could use your phone during emergency like a school lockdown or a fire.

In conclusion I still have not decided my side would it be better to keep cell phones at home or allow them at school.
