Victoria

I stood on the back lawn gazing up at the starless night sky. The only light was the thin white crescent of the new moon. In a few nights, it would be another full moon. Would it be another painful failure for me? My mood slipped into darkness like the night. The cool air nipped at me and made me uncomfortable with my thoughts.

Victoria would call me soon. This time of the month she seemed to watch me more closely. Her voice was low and strange even when she called to me. And she was still horrified after all this time. But why  didn't she show her happy personality like she once did.

“Daniel.” vics voice sounded as if she were in trouble

"What is it, Vikky?"

"Why do you always go outside at  night, daniel?"

"You know why, Victoria. In a few days it will be another full moon, again."

She was indeed unhappy with my reply, because she stopped responding to me. Standing in the soft light of the living room, wearing a, very sheer, black gown, I could see her pain right through her solid eyes. A long tear started drooping down to the floor over dark lushes lips.

“Whats wrong vic.”

“Victoria.”

The puzzled look on her face changed.A tear dropped from his dark brown eyes.Victoria had disappeared and there has been no sign of her since that day...
